VFW Post 7925 hosts its 1st Annual Food Truck Fest

- 6/7/2023

To help raise funds for its VFW Post and other charitable endeavors, the Veterans of VFW Post 7925 of Fairfield, NJ will hold its first ever annual Food Truck Fest on Saturday, June 17th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

Those who plan to attend will be greeted by several local food trucks who’ll offer each of their delicious and mouth-watering specialties such as handcrafted paninis, kielbasa & pierogies, fried chicken sandwiches, burgers, empanadas, hot dogs, tacos and more. The event will also have an inflatable bounce house by "Any Excuse for a Party!” for its younger guests.

Almost three years ago, VFW Post 7925 nearly closed its doors after serving the Fairfield community and its Veterans since it was formed in 1946. The pandemic made it difficult for the Post to rent its hall which is its main source of revenue. After creating a large fundraising program that was backed by the Fairfield community, the Veterans were able to keep the Post open.

Since that time, Post 7925 has been extremely active in the community and giving back as much as it can to thank those who helped them in their time of need.

"This type of event has always been something that we’ve wanted to host for our community,” said Brian Gallagher, Commander of VFW Post 7925. "Food will always bring people together and as we’ve been busy beautifying and updating our Post, we’d love to share those changes with our community through this event.” We’re extremely pleased to bring back a place where our town can hold celebrations and events for everyone to enjoy,” added Gallagher.
